A 12-year-old Kapolei boy was questioned by police after he allegedly created and set off an explosive device Wednesday afternoon.

Because the suspect is a juvenile, police would not release any details of the incident or the device, except to say that there were no injuries or property damage. The youth was arrested around 3 p.m. and turned over to Family Court.
