Nightclub part owner charged in second assault case

By Gregg K. Kakesako

LAST UPDATED: 09:45 a.m. HST, May 22, 2013

Prosectors have charged 39-year-old Michael Miske Jr., part-owner of M Nightclub, with second-degree assault and criminal property damage for a Dec. 15 incident.

Miske is already scheduled for trial July 1 on a second-degree assault charge for allegedly assaulting Washington Redskins tackle Trent Williams Jan. 25 at the nightclub two days before the Pro Bowl.

Miske posted $350,000 bail and will be arraigned in Circuit Court at a later date for the Dec. 15 incident.

Also charged in the Dec. 15 incident was John Stancil, 25, a bouncer at Miske’s Kakaako nightclub.

Stancil was arrested for second- and third-degree assault Tuesday and is still in custody unable to post $50,000 bail. He will make his initial District Court appearance on Thursday.

Both Miske and Stancil were arrested following the Jan. 25 incident at Miske’s M Nightclub where Williams was injured.

In the Dec. 15 incident, police said Stancil and Miske allegedly assaulted a 40-year-old man at 3:45 a.m., causing substantial bodily injury. When a 41-year-old woman tried to intervene, Stancil allegedly assaulted her, causing bodily injury.

The criminal property damage charge against Miske is because he allegedly caused $1,500 worth of damage to items belonging to the 40-year-old man.

Police would only say the incident occurred in the Kakakaako area and the item damaged was not the victim’s car.

Stancil was to be tried April 23 in Honolulu District Court on two counts of misdemeanor assault committed against Williams and his brother, Fredrick, who was also at Miske’s nightclub on Jan. 25. However, Washington Redskins All-Pro tackle Williams was a no-show and the trial was rescheduled for July.

Williams suffered a cut on his head requiring multiple stitches, sidelining the 6-foot-5, 328-pound offensive tackle from the Pro Bowl game.

Another M Nightclub bouncer, Michael Buntenbah, 40, is scheduled to stand trial in Honolulu District Court in July for misdemeanor assault involving Fredrick Williams during the Jan. 25 fight at the Kakaako nightclub.

Like his conduct at his club, his business, Kama'aina Pest and Termite Control, has been cited with violations. This can be checked on the Better Business Bureau website. I bring this up because I have had reports by my neighbors and friends regarding their business. One had his roof damaged but he could not take action because he signed the contract which absolves the company from such damages. Another reported to me that items were stolen from his residence but he cannot prove it so he had to take the loss.

Miske is president and owner of Kamaaina Pest Control. Perhaps the biggest pest is Miske himself. Not only does he have a growing criminal arrest record, but his company was fined by the Environmental Protection Agency in 2011 for pesticide misuse and unsafe practices, like leaving pilot lights on in homes or leaving internal doors closed. Just Google "Miske" and "Kamaaina Pest Control."

One thing about Miske, he knows haow to make money. If he wasn't such a punk there would be a good chance that he would either be a high business owner or running a well organized crime organization. This guy is really smart just too much young punk in him.

As a side note, Mr. Miske Jr. is owner or part owner of Kama'aina Termite and Pest Control. This company has several violations according to the Better Business Bureau. There were other violations that were shown that are no longer shown. I state this because of what my neighbor experienced. His roof was damaged by one of the employees during the tenting process but he signed the contract which basically makes Kama'aina not responsible for that. Another neighbor reported to me that items were stolen from his residence during a tenting. Again, this neighbor could not prove it.

Yeah but if you want the termites punched out, who would you call? AND, if Williams was a no show in the off season, what court would schedule him to show a week or two from the NFL season? Babababooose baboose...

Williams and his brother were no shows at the last two hearings because they will have to come back this summer for all three trials. Taxpayers pay for witnesses to come down, you should be glad our money wasn't wasted.

I've had run-ins with Miske and his hoods where I worked at formerly. He's a real big shot when he's got his goons with him or at his call. If more people knew what this guy is like, they wouldn't be patronizing his company Kama'aina Termiite and Pest Control. Personally, I'd rather have the termites have my house rather than deal with a goon like Mike. He is total "pilau".
