A 32-year-old woman wanted for an attempted murder in Makaha has been charged.

May Iwa Brewer, who gave police no local address, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. Saturday night in Kapolei.

Police had been looking for the 32-year-old after a shooting incident involving a 40-year-old woman May 19.

Police said the 40-year-old victim was seated in her vehicle on Farrington Highway in Makaha when she was approached by Brewer. Police say Brewer allegedly brandished a handgun, demanded money and struggled for the victim's property.

During the struggle, the handgun went off and the victim was struck in her head. Brewer got into a nearby vehicle operated by an unknown male and drove off.

Brewer was charged Sunday with attempted murder and robbery in the first-degree.

Who owns the gun, please. Name of the owner of gun should be public information when it was used for robbery, murder, or property damage. The owner should also have some liability to victims, even if the gun was stolen.

How is someone going to be held liable if his gun was legitimately stolen? If I steal your car and run someone over should I be held liable too, or if I steal your golf clubs then beat someone to death, should I be held liable for the murder also? I don't think so!

I hope she is never allowed to come out of prison. She deserves to stay in there. Why should an innocent person be in the hospital bleeding to death? At the same time, why should the person without his vehicle be stranded without his car? She has disrupted peoples lives from her own selfish stupid reasons and now she needs to get what she deserves.

Is there anyone else that would rather read about the victim of this alleged f... c...t? Is she going to live? Is a tourist or resident? Can we or do we as community need to help this lady financially down the road?
