A 30-year-old Chinatown resident ended up in custody after he allegedly threatened another man with a knife.

Police said the suspect approached his 29-year-old victim just after 4 p.m. Monday and pulled out a knife.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and third-degree assault. He was detained at Smith and Beretania streets.

Again. When will Supterstar Advertiser do a story on the increase of knife violence on Oahu? I wish I knew what that's all about.

Was thinking the same thing. More stabbings in a short amount of time than I can remember. Maybe Sears had a 95% off sale on knives before they closed.

Maybe it was not a threat on his side. He was waling along and sees someone in the shadows, pulls out his knife and says, no bodda me, i get knife, and walks on. Shadow calls Police and say he was threatened. Was he attacked or hurt, I think NOT. Pity.
