Kaneohe man arrested after allegedly making threat with knife

Police said they arrested a 47-year-old Kaneohe man after he allegedly threatened two men with a knife on Wednesday.

The suspect was arrested on two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening after he allegedly confronted a 37-year-old man and 42-year-old man with a knife in Kaneohe.

Not sure why they classify simple "threats" as a crime? It is just a waste of time, expense and effort. Nothing was accomplished. It is hard to conceive that there is punishment for no happening. This is similar to clenching one's fist and saying I'm going to knock your bloke off, then walks away and does Nothing. Call it a "threat" if the want, but it should NOT be a crime. Pity.
