Man arrested after allegedly smashing car's windshield

A 67-year-old homeless man is accused of smashing the windshield of a vehicle, injuring its occupant.

Police said the incident occurred at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday when the suspect threw an object at a moving car, smashing its windshield. A 17-year-old girl suffered minor injuries from the glass fragments. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of criminal property damage when police him in the 2300 block of Nuuanu Avenue an hour later.
