Two homeless men, who were caught on a surveillance monitor at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center taking a woman’s handbag, have been charged with theft.

Authorities charged Kalani Faumuina, 18; and Jezdon Meyers, 21; with second-degree theft on Tuesday. Bail was set at $11,000 for each suspect.

Center security personnel witnessed two men taking a handbag belonging to a woman who had gone swimming at a beach near the shopping center Monday morning. They detained both suspects and called police.
