Two homeless men, who were caught on a surveillance monitor at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center taking a woman’s handbag, have been charged with theft.

Authorities charged Kalani Faumuina, 18; and Jezdon Meyers, 21; with second-degree theft on Tuesday. Bail was set at $11,000 for each suspect.

Center security personnel witnessed two men taking a handbag belonging to a woman who had gone swimming at a beach near the shopping center Monday morning. They detained both suspects and called police.

The handbag was recovered and the suspects, neither of whom has a local address, were arrested on suspicion of second-degree theft.

Security Guards at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center were using their security cameras to check out girls on the beach when they happened to notice two homless theives stealing a womans purse at the beach. Glad the thieves were caught. Scary that the Center has Cameras on the beach with perverted security guards.
