Man seriously injured after SUV hits tree in Hawaii Kai

Paramedics took a 29-year-old man to the hospital in serious condition after the vehicle he was driving rammed a tree in Hawaii Kai this morning.

Emergency Medical Services said the accident occurred at 6:02 a.m. in the 400 block of Kawaihae Street.

Police are asking motorists to avoid Kawaihae Street during the traffic accident investigation and use Hawaii Kai drive.
