A 28-year-old McCully woman is in custody after allegedly assaulting a police officer at a Waialae park early this morning.

Police responded to reports of an argument at Kaimuki District Park at 12:20 a.m. The suspect refused to leave the park on Waialae Avenue and allegedly hit the officer.

The suspect, who has a long list of misdemeanor convictions, had been released from Oahu Community Correctional Center in March.
