Police search for 2 work furlough escapees

Police and deputy sheriffs are looking for two Oahu Community Correctional Center inmates who failed to return from work furlough passes this weekend.

Jeremy Casella, 30, did not return to the Kalihi facility at 3:30 a.m. Sunday. He left at 1:45 p.m. Saturday to go to work. He is serving time for second-degree robbery.

Also missing is Jason Gomes, 43,  who left on a work furlough pass 5 a.m. Sunday and was supposed to return at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. He was in prison for second-degree robbery.

Both inmates are facing second-degree escape charges.
