Kauai missile site change of command scheduled

Capt. Bruce W. Hay will assume command of Pacific Missile Range Facility at Kauai’s Barking Sands’ military facility on Thursday.

He will replace Capt. Nicholas Mongillo who leaves Barking Sands after three years of command and will retire with 27 years of service.

Hay’s last assignment was future aircraft carrier requirements officer on the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations at the Pentagon.

He is an EA-6B Prowler jet pilot with more than 2,600 flight hours and 802 carrier landings.
