A 29-year-old man got caught jaywalking near Market City in Kaimuki and ended up being arrested for stealing the moped he was pushing along.

Robert Fletcher was stopped at 3:15 a.m. by a police officer on routine patrol Tuesday jaywalking while pushing a moped across South King Street.

The officer discovered the moped was reported stolen April 19.

Fletcher was arrested and charged Wednesday for second-degree theft. His bail was set at $20,000.
