Top aide to Rep. Michele Bachmann charged with theft

WASHINGTON » A top aide to congresswoman Michele Bachmann has been arrested and charged with thefts that took place in a House office building.

A spokesman for the U.S. Capitol Police says 37-year-old Javier Sanchez of Virginia was arrested last Thursday.

Sanchez was a senior legislative assistant to Bachmann, a Minnesota Republican. Her office is in the Rayburn office building, where police say the thefts took place.

Sanchez has been charged with theft of money or goods less than $1,000 in value.

Bachmann spokesman Dan Kotman says Sanchez was no longer with the office as of Friday.

A favorite of the tea party movement, Bachmann ran unsuccessfully for the GOP presidential nomination in 2012. She recently announced she will not be seeking another term in the House.

And this is news because??? Oh, I get it. You Kool-Aid drenched progressives want the news to be that somehow Michele Bachman is to blame. Wasn't there another Treyvon story you could have run? Jesse and Al are standing behind a banner yelling at white people somewhere.

A theft of $1,000 in a legislative office make headline news, while corruptions by the billions of taxpayer funds get ignored by the main stream media. Their focus appears to be directed to the conservatives and tea party members, just like the IRS.

This is a time honored conservative strategy - guilt by association, where there is smoke there is fire etc - so I understand how you are feeling paranoid. In fact Bachmann herself is a master at this. Name Huma Abedin ring a bell?
