Cause of overnight Maui brush fire remains unknown

It took Maui firefighters more than two hours to extinguish a brush fire in Haiku that scorched one-third of an acre near Hahana Road early this morning.

The fire was reported at 1:09 a.m. It was extinguished at 3:08 a.m.

No injuries or damages were reported. 

The cause of the fire was undetermined after the investigation.
