These creeps do not care about their victims or the state that depends on tourism for income. The state needs to get tough on property crimes. As it is, we will continue to have a huge number of thefts on residents and visitors. Just recently, a friend found the contents of a wallet in a dumpster. The poor victim's driver's license, credit cards and other belonging were simply dumped into the dumpster by a thieve who took all the cash and ran off. We need to give these thieves more time behind bars as that is the only way to protect the community. Thieves have a high rate of recidivism and the only true deterrent is to keep them behind bars. Let them try to steal from other criminals. See what happens. I'm sure it won't be pretty.
