A 35-year-old Kalihi man is in custody accused of attacking and hitting a 14-year-old boy with his fists and a stick.

Police said the suspect was arguing with the youth around 1 p.m. Thursday when he allegedly hit the boy on his head and face several times with his fist. The suspect then grabbed a stick and allegedly hit the boy several more times on his body, arms and legs. The police report did not say if the victim had to be treated for his injuries.

The suspect was arrested on suspicion of second-degree assault at his home on Mao Lane near Farrington High School.
