Moiliili homeowner surprises, holds suspected burglar

A Moiliili man surprised a homeless man in his apartment early Sunday morning and held the 54-year-old suspect until police arrived.

Bruce Pinkerton, who gave police no local address, was charged with first-degree burglary Monday. His bail was set at $20,000.

The suspect was caught at 3:10 a.m. in the apartment with property belonging to the homeowners.

Pinkerton was arrested on suspicion of burglary and an outstanding warrant.
