Arrestee who gave police the slip recaptured in Kalihi

Charges are pending for a 48-year-old man who was arrested Tuesday night in Kalihi on two warrants who then tried to escape from police.

The suspect was in custody, but managed to get away from police. He was arrested at 8:45 p.m. on Leilani Street.

His bail for the two warrants was set at $20,000. The suspect also is facing charges of first-degree escape and resisting arrest.
