Haleiwa stabbing suspect released pending investigation

Police have released, pending further investigation, the 18-year-old Waipahu man  questioned following a stabbing of a Haleiwa man Sunday.

Police said incident started in Haleiwa around 2 a.m. Sunday.

A 19-year-old man was taken to the hospital with stab wounds.

The suspect was arrested on North Cane Street in Wahiawa for DUI and attempted murder.
