Fire destroys Pahoa home

Hawaii County fire officials are trying to determine the cause of an early morning fire that destroyed a two-story Pahoa home causing $90,000 worth of damage.

The fire was reported at 12:27 a.m. today at 14-3379 Lehua Road. It took 17 firefighters 33 minutes to bring the fire under control.

The four-bedroom house was considered a total loss, fire officials said.

No injuries were reported.
