Police nabbed a suspected burglar early Monday morning after he allegedly tripped a McCully business' alarm system, police said.

The 32-year-old Kakaako man forcibly entered the store shortly after 6 a.m. and took a number of items, police said.

The incident triggered an alarm, and patrol officers who responded to the area apprehended the man after a short foot chase around 6:40 a.m. near 1718 Young St., according to police records.
