Police nab suspected car thief in Aiea

Police tracked down a suspected car thief in Aiea on Sunday after they saw him driving a stolen vehicle, police said. 

Police arrested a 31-year-old Waianae man around 7:10 p.m. on Aiea Heights Drive after he was spotted about 20 minutes prior driving a vehicle that was registered to a 70-year-old man, according to police records.

Police said officers lost sight of the vehicle but later located it and arrested the man on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle.

Again, this creep will be out to commit more crimes. Most thieves do not get caught most of the time. When they do finally get caught they get released in no time and then they commit more crimes and get away with it. We need tougher sentences for thieves including burglars.
