Woman seriously injured on H-1 after vehicle crashes into hole

A 57-year-old woman was seriously injured Sunday night on the H-1 freeway when the automobile she was riding in drove through construction cones and crashed into a deep hole.

The crash happened around 10:42 p.m. at the H-1 westbound School Street offramp, according to Emergency Medical Services. The woman, a passenger in the vehicle, was the only one reportedly injured.

The temporary signs and coning can create dangerous situations on H1. Have to make quick decisions if not aware the traffic lanes were changed. Maybe the driver could not merge into the next lane, and over-ran the cones. Need more information on what happened.
