Police arrest man suspected in assault of Ala Moana woman

Police arrested a 49-year-old man after he allegedly sexually assaulted a 61-year-old woman over the weekend. 

The assault occurred between 9 p.m. Saturday and 7:50 a.m. Sunday. The victim reported to police that the suspect, of no local address, entered her apartment located at a condominium in the Ala Moana area without her permission. 

Police arrested the 49-year-old man Sunday on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault. 

He was released pending further investigation.
