The Medical Examiner's Office identified the 46-year-old northern California visitor, who died after he was taken in critical condition to the hospital after nearly drowning Monday at Ko Olina, as Chester Ballesteros.

An autopsy will be conducted this morning to determine cause of death.

Ballesteros, of Campbell, a suburb of San Jose, was hospitalized in critical condition following a near drowning at Lagoon 4 of Ko Olina Resort Monday afternoon, the city Department of Emergency Services said. The incident occurred about 12:30 p.m.

My question exactly. Although I have to say I almost drowned when I followed a followed a turtle out to the ocean and wasn't paying attention . I didn't have fins on and got caught in a rip tide. I didn't realize it and was getting exhausted because I didn't have fins on. I remembered to swim parallel to the coast and got out of it. They don't have life guards there. 46 is kind of young for a heart attack, unless he was obese. Who knows.

Just so happen yesterday on Dr. Oz show a female had a heart attack when she was only 20. She was not obese. Lucky she is still alive today to tell her story.

at any age can you have a heart attack being obese is not the only way for someone to have a heart attack. don't believe everything you read, this story is not true! he did have a heart attack, he didn't drown. he had had cancer and a tumor on his heart. he was trying to help his 8 year old daughter (my niece) back in after the tube had taken her out too far, his wife (my sister) did cpr but already knew he was gone. a doctor is the only one who can pronounce someone dead so he was gone at the beach. people need to remember that this is someones son, brother, husband and father and watch what you write when commenting on stuff. unless deleted this will always be out there and anyone will be ale to find it.
