A female security officer in her 40s was taken to the hospital in stable condition Monday morning after she was hit by a truck this morning at the Young Brothers facility at Pier 39.

Young Brothers officials confirmed that the victim was struck by a commercial trucking company vehicle at the Nimitz security gate to the harbor while she was working as a contracted security officer for Young Brothers.

"Emergency responders arrived quickly to the site to aid the injured worker," president Glenn Hong said in a statement issued this afternoon. "Our thoughts and prayers are with her for a full and speedy recovery, as well as with her family, co-workers and everyone affected. We take the safety of our operations very seriously, and we are cooperating with the Honolulu Police Department to ensure it has all information that may be helpful in relation to this accident."

Police said the incident happened around 9:30 a.m.
