HAGATNA, Guam » Guam police say a 50-year-old man has drowned near the Agana Boat Basin.

The Pacific Daily News reports the man drowned after a wave capsized a boat he and two other men were in. Officer A.J. Balajadia says none of the men was wearing a floatation device.

Two men were pulled from the water, but rescuers didn't realize another man was unaccounted for. Balajadia says rescuers later found the third man floating face down in the water.

Efforts to revive the man weren't successful, and he was pronounced dead at Naval Hospital Guam.

Balajadia says another boater was taken to Guam Memorial Hospital for treatment. The third man wasn't injured.
