Car crash leads to discovery of gun in Waimanalo

Police discovered loaded firearms in a vehicle Wednesday evening while investigating a car crash and arrested the man who was allegedly responsible for both, according to police records.

The incident began in the Waimanalo area around 6:20 p.m., police said. The driver of the car, a 46-year-old Waimanalo man, was arrested on suspicion of firearms violations on Kumuniu Street around 7:05 p.m.
