Police reopen California Avenue in Wahiawa

Police have reopened California Avenue this morning in both directions after downed power lines closed the stretch between between North Cane Street and Ihoiho Place on Wednesday.

Falling trees crashed into the lines around noon Wednesday. Power was restored to all but 50 customers in the area by Wednesday evening, according to Hawaiian Electric Company spokesman Darren Pai.
