HAGATNA, Guam — A magnitude 7.2 earthquake has struck about 200 miles off the southern coast of Guam.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii says there is no widespread tsunami predicted from the shallow quake that occurred Saturday morning.

Brandon Aydlett, a forecaster at the National Weather Service's office in Guam, says nothing was felt in the U.S. territory.

The temblor occurred at a depth of 12 miles.

There were no immediate reports of damage with many people sleeping through the quake.
