Man arrested for burglary of ex-girlfriend's home in Waianae

Police arrested a 20-year-old Waianae man who allegedly broke into a Waianae area home yesterday and allegedly assaulted his ex-girlfriend in an attempt to get to their child.
The incident occurred 8:55 a.m.
The man allegedly injured the woman to get access to the child and and took her cell phone battery, police said.
Police arrested the man yesterday on suspicion of first-degree burglary and violation of a temporary restraining order.
