The Queen's Health Systems has named Eric Martinson president of subsidiary, The Queen Emma Land Co.

He was also appointed executive vice president of endowment — including real estate assets and financial investments. He starts in his new roles on July 1.

He replaces Mark Yamakawa who has overseen for the past three years the planning and management of the land company's Waikiki properties, "which are now well positioned to undergo major improvements over the next few years," said Art Ushijima, president and chief executive officer of The Queen's Health Systems.

Yamakawa will serve as chief operating officer for both the health system and The Queen’s Medical Center.

Martinson, a Kamehameha Schools graduate, previously was managing director and vice president of Tradewind Capital Group, a subsidiary of Island Holdings, a real estate and private equity management and investment firm.

He is also a co-founder of MN Capital Partners, an investment, asset management and consulting firm, focusing on real estate and private equity assets and transactions.

Martinson worked at Kamehameha Schools for 13 years as director of the financial assets division.
