Shinseki, Inouye set to speak at ceremony marking end of World War II

Veterans Secretary Eric Shinseki and U.S. Sen. Daniel Inouye are due to speak at the USS Missouri ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II.
Shinseki is due to deliver the keynote address at the Sept. 2 ceremony in Pearl Harbor.
The Kauai-born Vietnam War combat veteran is a retired four-star general and a former Army chief of staff.
Inouye, the Democratic senator from Hawaii who received the Medal of Honor for his World War II service, is due to share his thoughts and memories of the war.
Japan formally surrendered to the U.S. aboard the USS Missouri when the battleship was in Tokyo Bay on Sept. 2, 1945.
The battleship is now a museum and is moored at Pearl Harbor.
