A neighbor asked to help watch a Kaimuki home while its family was away helped police arrest an alleged burglar Thursday night, police said.
The neighbor told police she saw movement coming from the home and called police.
At the same time, police received an alarm call coming from the home, police said.
Officers arriving at the scene saw evidence of forced entry at a side window and found the suspect hiding in the living room, police said.
The suspect, 43, was being held pending a first-degree burglary charge.
