Ala Moana Boulevard reopened following crash into utility pole

Ala Moana Boulevard has been reopened between Ward Avenue and Koula Street following a traffic investigation early this morning.

A utility pole reportedly caught fire after a car crashed into, according to Hawaii News Now.

All lanes were re-opened around 2:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.

Haha! I was thinking the same thing years ago.. I've seen poles knocked down several times and then I saw many poles along H-1 toward Kapolei with dents on them just about the height where a car bumper would be. I thought that Hawaii drivers were playing a game - how fast they can hit a pole without knocking it over. Of course, Hawaii people are that crazy, are they?
