The William S. Richardson School of Law library was burglarized this week, University of Hawaii at Manoa Campus Security said.

The break-in happened Monday morning, probably between 1 and 9 a.m., officials said. Offices and files were broken into, and some items were taken, including about $400 in cash, Campus Security said.

Police were assisting in the investigation, dusting for fingerprints and taking statements from library staff members.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity possibly related to the burglary Monday morning is asked to call Campus Security at 956-6911.

What the heck is U/H security doing sleeping all night. We have full time security on campus but all I hear about are robberies, rapes, muggings, break-ins and problems that should be prevented with a decent security force. Perhaps its time for the head of security to earn his pay other wise he needs to follow Mac out the door.

Those creeps will probably get only probation if, and only if, they get caught. Probably criminals with a long history of burglary.
