Driver killed in Waialua crash identified

The Medical Examiner's Office has identified the 40-year-old Waialua man who died from injuries he suffered in a head-on crash on Kaukonahua Road Thursday afternoon as Leslie Miyamoto, Jr.

Police said a motor vehicle driven by Miyamoto crossed the center line of Kaukonahua about 5 p.m. and crashed into a vehicle driven by a 56-year-old man. Miyamoto was taken in critical condition to Wahiawa General Hospital, where he died.

The 56-year-old  man was taken in serious condition to the Queen's Medical Center.
