Hawaii downs Cal State Northridge in volleyball

Jonas Umlauft put down 28 kills and Joshua Walker added 14 to lead No. 9 Hawaii over Cal State Northridge 19-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-21 in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men's volleyball match tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Shane Welch was in on seven of Hawaii's 12 blocks and Nick Castello had 13 of the team's 35 digs as the Warriors improved to 13-11 overall, 11-8 MPSF. The win  moves Hawaii into a fourth-place tie with UC Irvine in the MPSF.

Jeff Stork put down 20 kills, Tanner Nua 14 and Drew Staker 10 for the Matadors (6-19, 4-14).
