Honolulu beats Yellowstone in poll for best U.S. destination

Honolulu is the "Champion" destination in America, according to readers of USA Today and users of the Orbitz online travel booking service.
Voting in the month-long online poll ran from the end of May through Wednesday, resulting in Honolulu vying for the title against Yellowstone National Park in the final bracket.
The poll was conducted as part of a travel contest in which Reginald Elvenia of Hilo won a prize of $500 in travel credits. The grand prize winner of $2,000 in travel credits has yet to be identified.
