Injured hiker rescued from Kalalau Beach on Kauai

A Kauai Fire Department helicopter airlifted a 52-year-old visitor, injured during a hike, out of the Kalalau Valley on the North Shore Wednesday.
The hiker, a California man, fell and injured his left knee and ankle while hiking to Kalalau Beach.
The helicopter took him to Princeville Airport and he went by ambulance to Wilcox Hospital in Lihue for treatment.
