Kalakaua Avenue lanes reopen after leak repaired

Lanes along a key section of Waikiki reopened at about 1 a.m. after Honolulu Board of Water Supply crews finished repairs on a leak to an 8-inch main on Kalakaua Avenue near Niu Street.
The leak had closed the left, eastbound lane of Kalakaua between Niu and Ala Moana Boulevard, and one lane westbound lane of Kalakaua between Pau and McCully streets.
