A 41-year-old man, upset that his landlord stepped into an area he considered his, chased him away with a machete in Waialua, police said.
Police arrested the man on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening about 7 p.m. Thursday.
The suspect had threatened his landlord, a 46-year-old man, with the machete and chased him away from the area about 5:30 p.m. Oct. 12, police said.
After seeing the man in Haleiwa, the landlord called police who arrested the suspect without incident.
