A 21-year-old Kailua-Kona man was charged for allegedly cutting two people with a broken beer bottle in Kona on August 4.

Big Island police arrested Andrew Storseth Tuesday evening. He was charged yesterday afternoon with second-degree assault, third-degree assault and terroristic threatening.

Storseth being held at the Kona police cellblock in lieu of $2,500 bail.

The stabbing happened at about 7 p.m. in a downtown Kailua-Kona parking lot. Police said a group of people had been drinking and an argument broke out.

A 19-year-old Kailua-Kona man received lacerations to his body and face, and a 15-year-old Kailua-Kona girl received scratches to her left arm. Both were taken to Kona Community Hospital, where they were treated for their injuries and released.

Officers recovered a broken beer bottle believed to have been used in the assault.
