Need to license them just like cars, pay registration fees, safety checks, and require insurance. Just my opinion.

How does a moped get "caught under the wheels" of a truck? Is that the same as being run over? If so, then say so...

A moped is a fast version of a bicycle. Unfortunately some think that mopeds are like motorcycles. This topic needs to surface in the next legislative session. Just as they passed excessive speeding laws for cars, our legislators need to craft laws that will make moped operators be more aware of their surroundings. HPD needs to issue tickets to moped operators, such as those that tailgate cars. True that mopeds cannot go on freeways, except mopeds cannot also be operated as if they were cars by 15 year olds. I once seen a boy maybe 16 years old weaving in and out of traffic on a moped during dusk, and without any lights, that moped could have easily gotten into an accident with a motor vehicle as the only identifying feature of that moped was its horrendous engine noise. Just catch TheBus !!! Mo Bettah for u, mo Bettah for ur parents, mo Bettah for all of us !!!
