No. 4 Hawaii sweeps New Mexico

Emily Hartong put down 12 kills and Kanani Danielson added 10 to lead the No. 5 Hawaii women's volleyball team to a 25-15, 25-14, 25-21 win over New Mexico tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center. 

The Rainbow Wahine (5-0) will take on No. 10 USC for the championship of the 23rd Hawaiian Airlines Classic tomorrow at 5 p.m. The Women of Troy (5-0) swept Michigan State 25-17, 25-23, 25-15 earlier yesterday.

In the course of tonight's 90-minute win, Hawaii senior libero Elizabeth Ka'aihue became the 12th Wahine to reach the 1,000-dig mark. She finished with 14 to up her career record to 1,010.

Danielson completed a double-double with 13 digs.

Taylor Hadfield led the Lobos (2-4) with 13 kills.

Michigan State finished third  in the tournament (1-2) and New Mexico fourth (0-3).
