Police arrest 2 following Waimalu stabbing

Police arrested a 27-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy in connection with a stabbing at the Waimalu Shopping Center.

The incident began when several males approached a 28-year-old man standing next to his vehicle in a parking lot about 11:45 p.m. Monday night, police said.

One of the assailants stabbed the man and hit a 34-year-old woman inside the vehicle. The stabbing victim was taken to the Queen’s Medical Center in serious condition, police said.

Officers arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of second-degree assault and unauthorized entry into a vehicle. The boy was booked on suspicion of injurious behavior.
