Police arrest man accused in 2 Waianae robberies

Police arrested a man in Waianae Wednesday afternoon in connection with property stolen from two different Waianae businesses in recent weeks. 

The Waianae Valley man, 24, was identified through an investigation as a suspect in the robbery of a cash register at the Golden House Restaurant on Jan. 22 He was also identified as possibly the man who took a flat-screen television from the Waianae Mall Radio Shack Wednesday.
 
Police located the man at a Hana Street address. He resisted arrest and stuck an officer while police were trying to arrest him. The suspect as subsequently arrested on counts of robbery, theft and resisting arrest.
 
The officer was taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released.
