Honolulu police arrested a 32-year-old woman with no local address who allegedly stabbed a 44-year-old man in Waikiki last night.

Police said the two acquaintances got into a verbal argument that escalated when the woman stabbed the man at about 6:15 p.m.

Officers arrested the suspect at Lewers Street and Lauula Street at 6:52 p.m. on suspicion of attempted murder.

Paramedics took the 44-year-old victim to the hospital in stable condition, an Emergency Medical Services supervisor said.
