Police close eastbound Kapiolani Boulevard due to pedestrian accident

But the lanes are reopened about 20 minutes later

Police closed the Koko Head-bound lanes of Kapiolani Boulevard at South Street for about 20 minutes last night because of a pedestrian accident. 

About 7:30 p.m., a van apparently hit the pedestrian, who was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Kapiolani was closed and reopened about 7:50 p.m.

Further details were not available.
