By Stephen Tsai

LAST UPDATED: 4:01 p.m. HST, Apr 3, 2012

Hawaii quarterback Cayman Shutter has been suspended "indefinitely" and "immediate" in the aftermath of his recent arrest on suspicion of drunken driving.

Head coach Norm Chow said during a news briefing before today's spring practice that Shutter is a "good young man" who made a bad decision.

During his suspension, Shutter is not allowed to participate in any team activities, including practicing and weight training.

Chow indicated that the suspensiont could last anywhere from a day through the 2012 season.

The suspension is based on Shutter violating team rules.

Further actions might be taken following the resolution of this case.
